Missoula authorities respond to late-night 'active crime scene', Evaro Hill shooting – The Missoulian
Authorities responded late Thursday night to an “active crime scene” on Expressway near the Lithia car dealership, and shortly afterward, to Highway 93 North at Evaro Hill, where shots were reported fired.
Vehicles from Missoula Police Department, Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol, along with an ambulance, responded to the first incident near Lithia.
At 12:40 a.m.., authorities sent out an alert that Highway 93 North was closed from mile marker 3 to mile marker 10 “because of an incident in the area.” Shortly afterward, Ravalli County authorities joined the law enforcement effort. On the police scanner, the suspect is reported to be armed with an AR-15 rifle and a .45.
