A career criminal under arrest on weapons charges in the Bronx gave cops the slip early Friday, running off with a pair of handcuffs still dangling from one wrist before being recaptured, cops said.

Kevin Taylor, 27, was arrested Wednesday on weapons possession, resisting arrest and drug charges after a car stop at the corner of University Ave. and Fordham Road in University Heights, cops said.

Police found a pistol and drugs in Taylor’s car.

While in custody, Taylor said he was sick.

Cops took him to St. Barnabas Hospital about 6:30 a.m. Friday.

An officer took one cuff off to move him onto a bed when he bolted.

Cops recaptured him Friday evening, a police source said.
